Whether you are staying on-site or visiting for the day, Waveney River Centre is an ideal departure point for a day on the tranquil waters of the southern Broads, with the pretty market town of Beccles just 1.5 hours upstream and Oulton Broad with its large children's park about 20 minutes downstream. Somerleyton with its famous stately home and maze, and the riverside village of Reedham are other popular destinations within two hours' cruise.
We have a range of boats to suit most budgets and requirements, from rowing boats and canoes to luxury day cruisers with galley, WC and cabin - many of which have been built on-site by our craftsmen here at Waveney River Centre. Buoyancy aids and fuel or paddles are included in the price and you will be given tuition before setting off on your adventure. Please note that although our day boats and cruisers have a hob and sink, they are not equipped with utensils, crockery or cutlery. You do need to provide those yourselves if you are planning lunch on board. There is a wide array of picnic & camping equipment on sale in our shop so there's no need to panic if you forget anything.

Directions:

Follow the A143 to Haddiscoe and turn at the village hall into Wiggs Road, signposted Waveney River Centre (left when travelling from the east and right when travelling from the west). Continue to follow the brown signs turning left into Burgh Road after 2 miles and proceed for another 2.5 miles until you arrive at the Centre.
