Sandringham House is a country house on 8,000 acres (3,200 ha) of land near the village of Sandringham in Norfolk, England, which is privately owned by the British Royal Family.
In 1968 an area of 142 hectares (350 acres) of The Queen's private Estate at Sandringham was designated as a Country Park.It has subsequently been enlarged so that today nearly 243 hectares (600 acres) are available for visitors to enjoy.There are two waymarked Nature Trails; one being 1 and 1/2 and the other 2 and 1/2 miles long. Also numerous paths in the woodlands to explore.

Sandringham is on the 41 bus route between King’s Lynn and Hunstanton, with a bus stop at the Sandringham Visitor Centre. Visitors showing their bus tickets will be entitled to discounted admission.
Sandringham is on the National Cycle Network and there are plenty of bicycle racks at the Visitor Centre. However, please note that all bicycles are parked at the owners’ risk, and that we are not able to offer left-luggage facilities.
Environmental awareness:
Sandringham Estate is actively attempting to reduce its carbon footprint in many departments. At the Visitor Centre, we recycle many tons of glass, plastic and cardboard each year, and we are at present conducting trials of accelerated composting systems, converting food waste from the Restaurants into compost for use in the Gardens. Low-energy lightbulbs are used in Sandringham House and in all offices.
